IDEA AND CONCEPT
People keep wondering whether the idea or the concept comes first? Some would say idea and some would say concept. However, does people really understand what's the different between those two? I will briefly explain about what is idea and what is concept.
IDEA: Technically the idea comes from your raw mind when you probably doing something. The idea roughly can come when you watch the sunset at the top of the cliff or having a tea time with your family or friends. it happens when you observe your surrounding and blend in to it. idea is similar when you get the AHA moment. That's where the idea will come. Often comes when we lease expect it. However, you have to chop down the idea on the paper because it won't last for long.
CONCEPT: Concept is when you have made a solid concrete from your idea. there are to be the fundamental building blocks of the thought and beliefs. In other words. concept is what and how you want it to be base on your idea. Therefore, both idea and concept are connected to each other.

Mitsubishi is one of the famous brand in car industry. I choose this advertisement because it is a unique poster that can easily be interpret and understand. Mitsubishi is famous for their refined engineering and also durability.
IDEA: Durability, Masculine, Strong
The idea of this poster is to show that the SUV Mitsubishi car is a strong car just like the rhinoceros. When we see rhinoceros, we will think about durability, masculine and strong. Thus, Mitsubishi opted to use rhinoceros to represent the 3 characteristic of the car.
CONCEPT: They opted to put rhinoceros inside the USV car. Hence, they wanted to inform that Mitsubishi car are strong and durability like rhinoceros. Mitsubishi wanted people to know that their products are strong. The concept is simple and tidy, The massage can easily be delivered.
The second advertisement is by Evian. I choose this ads because it is very simple and very please to see. Evian is a big brand in mineral water industry. Their product are famous because of their rich in terms of mineral in their water. Furthermore, they also have that unique 'Salted' taste when you drink it. It is quite popular among the upper class society because they are capable of buying this brand. Evian mineral water are expansive compared to other brands. Lets talk about the idea and the concept that has been use in this advertisement.
IDEA: Natural Resources, Clean water and Rare.
I believe in this advertisement Evian wanted to informed their product are basically made of natural resources which is from the mountains. Furthermore, when we think about taking a water from the mountains, we would probably think that the water is very clean and does not contaminated by any chemical. Thus, people will believe that their water is the safest mineral water to drink compare to other brands. Last but not least, to show that Evian is very rare product compare to other brands because their water are mainly taken from the natural spring of the famous French Alps
CONCEPT: They use simplistic way to show how their brand came from. It uses a french Alps Mountain to describe where their natural water coming from. They also use a simple copy writing which is 'Our Factory'. Hence, its a straightforward massage shows to the people that Evian is originally made at a spring water of French Alps thus it is a natural water and very clean with no chemical inserted. With Evian logo inserted on the left of the ads. it shows that Evian produce a rare mineral water came naturally from the mountains.
