Empathy

We are having a tough situation where the virus called Covid-19 has been widely affecting people around the world. Along the way, we have been told to stay at home in order to flatten the curve which represents the pandemic.  In order to do that, we have been advisedly to always wash our hands and take care of our hygiene. We might be complaining about staying inside the house or having restrictive movement. However, we are unlikely aware that there are others risking for their life to save others. Yes, it is our front-liners.

We should be more empathy with the situation they are having by following all the rules that has been set during this Restrictive Movement Orders (RMO). For a start, by staying at home. This is the best way to show our empathy for our front-liners that has been risking their life for the sake of others.

So what is empathy? Empathy is understanding others’ feelings by putting ourselves in their shoes. Empathy is what we try to imagine ourselves in the situation of others by trying to understand, to embrace and to respectful on that person situation. Empathy does not only involved sad emotions, but it also involved happiness, joyful, and memorable ways.

I will insert few example that involves empathy. The first one I'm going to give is the TVC of Coca-Cola.

In this video, Coca-Cola emphasize the happiness by giving a free drinks to the students that bought the drinks at the vandine machine. Instead of getting one bottle of coke (amount that they pay), they get more than two bottle of Coca-Cola. Because of that, the students tend to give away to the people around them and share the same joy with others. Coca-Cola wants to spread happiness to everyone so they choose the collage students because they understand being a student could be a hard and stressful sometimes. So they trying to reduce by giving away free Coca-Cola drinks to the students. This is an act of noble because this could ease the stress of the life as a student.

Coca-Cola does not just giving away free drinks, but they also give flowers, a long bread sandwich {i believe its a subway sandwich) for them to share. By looking at their reaction and their face, Coca- Cola managed to bring joy to each of the lucky students. Therefore, people will remember Coca-Cola as happiness when they drink it.

The second is the poster:

In this poster, we can see the Superheroes bow down to the front-liners as to show an appreciation to them for their dedication and hard work on trying to stop pandemic from spreading. Have you ever wonder why superheroes bow to them (front-liners)? Its because even the superheroes have the power that non normal human beings has, but they appreciate their effort and the risk they have to face through out the period. They could possibly die along the way. That is why every front-liners gain respect from people around the world including the superheroes. Not many are brave enough to sacrifice their life and being far away from their love ones. Thus, we should be grateful for their sacrifice they have made to stop pandemic from spreading. Lets just wish that this pandemic will end soon and everyone can live a normal life.

This is another example of poster that touches our heart.
