Faris Typography
Today I will be talking about typography from my own poster. Hence, for this week I will give an explanation about this poster of typography.
Typeface font
The typeface font that I used is Trebuchet MS. Its a humanist sans-serif typeface that Vincent Connare that is design for the Microsoft Corporation in 1996. Trebuchet was inspired by a puzzle question that Connare heard at Microsoft headquarters. It is well design specifically designed to appear well on a screen. It's also a bit more texture and modern-looking rather than many others traditional fonts.
Furthermore, I used F as my stand-alone words in the poster as it represent my name which is Faris. Moreover, I rotate the F for almost 24 degrees and longer a bit the base of the F to fit the poster. The main purpose for me to rotate the F is to enable for me to create 3 different kind of colors as you can see in the poster.
The color
I used three different kinds of color to create harmony between it. The color that I used is light blue, red and yellow. I was inspired by the color of Tv3 which is a broadcast television company in Malaysia. Blue, red and yellow really fits well when combined that can produce a soft harmony colors in the eyes of the viewers.
Placement of the words
The word 'aris' was putted in the F letter words to make it as one piece. In other words to inform the viewers the name of the designer. The alphanumeric was placed on the bottom of the F. It contains all the letters and number of Trebuchet MS to give the opportunity for the readers to see the unique design of Trebuchet MS.
Overall, in my opinion I believed that this poster contains harmony with the mix combination of three colors which is light blue, red and yellow. Furthermore, the stand alone F letters does blend well in the poster which I didn't put any color on it and blend well with other colors.
